How to Send G$

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open GoodWallet

Launch the GoodWallet app or access it through your browser and log in.

  2. Tap the “Send” Icon

On your dashboard, tap the Send icon to begin your transaction.

  3. Select the Network

Choose the blockchain network you want to use:

    • Celo Network (current default for most users)

    • Fuse Network (legacy network for older G$ accounts)

  4. Select the Token

From the token list, choose G$ (GoodDollar) as the asset to send.

  5. Enter Transaction Details

    • Amount: Type in how much G$ you want to send.

    • Recipient Address: Paste the wallet address provided by the receiver.

Tip: Always double-check the address before sending — blockchain transactions cannot be reversed.

  6. Review and Confirm

    • Verify that the network, amount, and recipient address are all correct.

    • Tap Confirm / Send to complete the transaction.

How to Receive G$

  1. Open GoodWallet

Go to your GoodWallet home screen.

  2. Tap the “Receive” Icon

This will display your wallet address (public key) or a QR code.

  3. Share Your Address

Copy your wallet address and send it to the person who will send you G$, or let them scan your QR code.

  4. Wait for Confirmation

When the sender confirms the transaction, your G$ balance will automatically update once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain.

Important Notes

  • :link: Double-check the network: Both sender and receiver must use the same network (Celo or Fuse).

  • :money_with_wings: No reversals: Blockchain transactions are permanent — always verify details before confirming.

  • :gear: Gas fees: A small network fee may apply depending on the blockchain used.

  • :stopwatch: Processing time: Usually completed within seconds on Celo; may take slightly longer on Fuse.
