GIMT - Monthly Moderation Summary

September Moderation Summary:

GIMT – Community Moderation Summary September 2026

Overview

Throughout September 2026, the GoodDollar International Moderation Team (GIMT) maintained active moderation and user support across the GoodDollar ecosystem. The team continued focusing on community safety, user assistance, technical issue monitoring, ecosystem accessibility, and regional community support.

However, September was significantly different from previous months. The GoodDollar protocol incident and resulting liquidity situation became the dominant focus of moderation activities, beginning in early September and continuing throughout the month. As a result, regular ecosystem promotion and engagement activities were relatively limited compared with August.

GIMT’s primary efforts therefore shifted toward incident communication, responding to user concerns, discouraging swaps while liquidity remained constrained, addressing misinformation, supporting affected users, monitoring security threats, and escalating technical issues. Moderators also continued supporting GoodMarket, G$ claiming, Learn & Earn, Play & Earn, and other ecosystem activities where appropriate.

Community Moderation

GIMT maintained moderation coverage across the GoodDollar community throughout September, monitoring discussions, responding to users, enforcing community guidelines, removing malicious content, and maintaining community safety.

More than 230 spam, scam, fake-link and related moderation actions were reported across the individual moderation reports. Security reminders were also regularly shared, particularly around suspicious links, impersonation attempts, seed phrases, private keys, and fake support accounts.

The protocol incident also required moderators to closely monitor misinformation and potentially harmful advice, particularly around G$ swaps, liquidity, wallet balances and recovery-related information.

Community/User Support

User support remained one of GIMT’s core responsibilities throughout September.

The team handled 450+ reported community support interactions, assisting users with:

  • GoodWallet and GoodDApp

  • MiniPay

  • GoodMarket

  • G$ claiming

  • Wallet access and recovery

  • G$ swaps and liquidity concerns

  • Verification and re-verification

  • Transaction-related issues

  • G$ balance and price questions

  • Protocol incident concerns

  • Account/login issues

  • General ecosystem navigation

A substantial portion of these interactions during the month related directly to the protocol incident. Users repeatedly sought clarification about the Celo/XDC Reserve pause, swap availability, liquidity restoration, G$ balances, and the status of the recovery process.

The team maintained consistent messaging and directed users toward official updates rather than speculation.

Technical Issue Monitoring & Escalation

GIMT continued serving as a bridge between users and the wider ecosystem by identifying, documenting, and escalating technical and operational issues.

Key issues monitored during September included:

  • Celo/XDC Reserve and liquidity concerns

  • Failed or unavailable swaps

  • MiniPay swap and claiming difficulties

  • Wallet and claiming issues

  • GoodMarket verification

  • Account recovery and login-method issues

  • G$ balance concerns

  • Transaction-related problems

  • GoodWallet/GoodDApp interface issues

  • Protocol recovery and restoration questions

Rather than attempting to resolve issues beyond the moderators’ scope, GIMT continued escalating relevant cases and directing users to the appropriate ecosystem support channels.

GoodMarket Support & Adoption

GoodMarket remained an important source of constructive ecosystem activity during September, particularly while users were waiting for the protocol and liquidity situation to stabilize.

Reported GoodMarket activity reached:

  • 1,169 verified/reverified users

  • 1,162 unique/verified G$ claimers

  • 4,535 confirmed G$ claims

These figures represent the accumulated totals reported by the end of September 30.

GIMT also supported users with:

  • GoodMarket verification and re-verification

  • G$ claiming

  • Wallet connections

  • XDC/CELO claiming

  • Play & Earn / Minigames

  • Daily Lottery

GoodMarket activities provided users with constructive ways to remain engaged with the ecosystem while the wider protocol situation was being addressed.

Community Engagement & Ecosystem Support

September saw considerably less ecosystem promotion than August because the team’s attention was primarily directed toward the protocol incident.

Nevertheless, GIMT continued supporting and amplifying relevant ecosystem activities, including:

  • GoodMarket

  • Learn & Earn

  • Daily Lottery

  • Community announcements and protocol updates

  • Regional community engagement

Moderators also continued supporting regional communities, including GoodDollar Nigeria, Español, Brazil and Philippines, alongside the main and support communities.

The team prioritized only those ecosystem communications that remained useful and appropriate during the incident period.

Education & Content Development

Educational and informational content during September was primarily focused on reducing confusion around the protocol incident and helping users navigate the ecosystem safely.

Key contributions included:

  • Protocol status and liquidity updates

  • Swap advisories

  • Wallet and claiming guidance

  • Security and scam-awareness communications

  • GoodMarket guidance

  • Guidance on alternative claiming pathways through Fuse and XDC

Conclusion

September demonstrated GIMT’s ability to adapt its moderation role during an unexpected ecosystem disruption.

While normal community and promotional activities were relatively limited, the team’s focus shifted toward community stability, accurate communication, user support, security, and incident response. Moderators remained active across key channels, responded to user concerns, escalated technical issues, removed malicious content, and helped users navigate the protocol and liquidity situation.

The month reinforced that effective community moderation is not measured only by the volume of campaigns or engagement activities, but also by the team’s ability to remain responsive and dependable when the community faces uncertainty.
