Hello!, I find the development of the Dao that could emerge from the implementation of the committee very interesting. I would also like to apply to contribute to the construction of the Dao. My current experience with Gooddollar was as a moderator for two years. I joined as a claimer user from the very beginning, following Gooddollar’s public launch. Within the crypto ecosystem, I have little more to comment on than my fascination with Blockchain and my affinity with the disengagement of a universal basic income. I believe I have a good understanding of the Gooddollar ecosystem and the need to make the Dao work, which is why I would like to contribute to the committee. I currently have about three hours a week to volunteer for the Dao.

History of contribution to GoodDollar / activity in the ecosystem

I’m part of the GoodLabs Foundation for the last 4 years, where my work has been focused on growing the GoodDollar ecosystem — across strategy, partnerships, governance, communications, and community.

I’ve also been closely involved in governance at GoodDollar. That experience gave me first-hand insight into the gaps and challenges in our current model, and motivates me to help shape a governance process that’s clearer, more accessible, and truly community-driven.

Why I want to be on the Governance Steering Committee

My background is in politics, which is what first drew me into Web3. I was inspired by the chance to rethink how governance works and create systems that are more inclusive and transparent.

For me, the Steering Committee is also an opportunity to reframe how we manage public goods. GoodDollar itself is a public good, and how we govern it will define its long-term success. I believe the project cannot succeed without a community that truly rallies behind it, and governance is how we make that happen.

What I bring to the Committee

Strong strategic perspective and deep knowledge of the GoodDollar ecosystem through my role at GoodLabs.

First-hand understanding of the gaps and challenges in past governance.

Background in politics, with a focus on systems, governance models, and collective decision-making

Focus on accessibility and clear communications

Bandwith
3-5h per week to committee related work

Thank you!

My name is Betz Lenz I have been an active GoodDollar user since 2021, selected as a GoodDollar Ambassador in 2022, and later chosen as a Community Moderator. Through these roles, I have consistently engaged with the community, supported members, and promoted the vision of financial inclusion.

With this background, I would like to contribute to the Governance Steering Committee. My experience gives me a deep understanding of both the community’s needs and the importance of clear, transparent processes. I believe I can help bridge the gap between governance and everyday users by encouraging participation, simplifying communication, and ensuring decisions are aligned with the values of inclusivity and fairness.

  • Contribution history: Active user (since 2021), Ambassador (2023), Community Moderator.
  • Time commitment: I can dedicate 4-5 hours per week to committee work.
  • Focus: Strengthening community participation, transparency, and engagement in governance.

I would be honored to represent the community and help shape the next stage of GoodDollar governance.

Thank you for considering my application.

Name: Umar Ibrahim Jauro
I am writing to express my interest in joining the GoodDollar Governance Steering Committee. I am an active member of the GoodDollar ecosystem, currently serving as a Community Moderator with the GIMT Team. Over the past several years, I have been deeply engaged with the GoodDollar community, both as a participant and as a contributor:

Contributions History:

Active Community Member since 2021: Consistently engaged in discussions, supported campaigns, and contributed ideas that drive growth and inclusion in the ecosystem.

Community Moderation: Helping answer questions, welcoming and guiding new members, addressing concerns, and supporting initiatives that enhance clarity, trust, and engagement.

Community Education & Initiatives: Creating content, leading discussions, and encouraging members to better understand the protocol and ecosystem.

Understanding of the Protocol: Through hands on engagement, I’ve built strong knowledge of the GoodDollar protocol, its values, and the unique community driven structure it fosters.

Why I Want to Serve on the Steering Committee:

The community is the lifeblood of the GoodDollar project, and moderators who interact directly with members every day will play a vital role in shaping the future of governance. We are uniquely positioned to surface feedback, highlight challenges, and channel fresh ideas into actionable proposals.

If selected, I will:

  • Advocate for transparent, inclusive, and accessible processes that empower grassroots members to participate meaningfully in governance.
  • Strengthen the communication bridge between governance and the wider community, ensuring clarity and trust.
  • Contribute to shaping clear guidelines and processes that make governance easier to navigate for newcomers and experienced members alike.
  • Help identify challenges early and channel community feedback into constructive proposals.

Bandwidth: I am able to dedicate 4–5 hours per week to committee responsibilities, including meetings, planning, reviews, and outreach.

Thank you!

Hi @sam_mccarthy

My name is Progress Birah, and I would love to be considered for the GSC.

I have worked as an ambassador for the Nigerian community, helping to build the community and also helped to set up new communities in Abuja and Lagos communities. I have represented gooddollar in blockchain events in my country, helping to spread the word.
I have also contributed as a community manager with gooddollar, where I coordinated the ambassador program, coordinating with the ambassadors from the various countries. It would be an honour to help build the rebranded DAO protocol.

I am available for 5-7 hours weekly commitment for the steering committee duties

Hi all, I’m Tereza, and I’d love to be considered for the GSC. :raised_hands:

I was a mentor in the first GoodDollar Builders round and really enjoyed getting to know the projects and people building in the ecosystem. I’m a tech writer and communications professional passionate about amplifying projects that leverage technology for good, with a particular interest in how Web3 experiments translate into real-world impact. Through my work with Crypto Altruists and other ReFi communities, I’ve highlighted GoodDollar as one of the most tangible examples of using blockchain for positive change.

I’ve been curious about governance and would love to observe how this process takes shape! I could contribute 2–3 hours per week.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi everyone, and thank you @sam_mccarthy for opening up this important discussion.

I’m Francesco (“Fran”), founder of the Superfluid Protocol. I’ve been following GoodDollar for a long time and have always admired its mission. I’m proud that Superfluid has been integrated into the GoodDollar ecosystem, and I’m excited about the potential for even more applications to leverage both protocols in ways that expand real-world impact and utility for G$.

Looking ahead, I’d love to participate more directly in governance as the GoodDAO evolves. I believe collaboration between aligned projects is key to scaling financial inclusion, and I look forward to contributing my perspective and support as this new governance framework takes shape.

While I sincerely don’t have much bandwidth, if accepted I’d bring in some of our resources from the Superfluid Foundation to assist when needed. Namely our governance lead Amin. So I’d ask to consider my participation on the GSC as a “Superfluid Seat”

BRIEF HISTORY OF MY CONTRIBUTION IN THE GOODDOLLAR ECOSYSTEM:

My Fellow Community Members,
This is no doubt that, since my encounter with the Good dollar as a decentralized model and Universal Basic Income project as only a claimer and influencer of Good dollar ecosystem.
I am a new in the system but too much like to be part of the Government Steering Committee (GSC). This is as a result of my positive attitude that whatever one can do everyone can do it rightly or more than that in as much as such person is fixed within the rightful channel and I believe that, I am completely fixed within that Chanel.
Furthermore, I’ll be made available to attend community activities 10 hours every day and 70 hours per week.

Thank you very. much.
